Our MultiGEN CLIA Facility

‣Our diagnostic laboratory operations are certified by the State of California in compliance with CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments), and are accredited by CAP (College of American Pathologists).
OUR SERVICES
Trovagene provides non-invasive molecular diagnostics CLIA lab services in our own San Diego based facility. We anticipate launching our first test using the detection of genetic signatures of disease from nucleic acid fragments in urine for K-ras mutation monitoring in pancreatic cancer patients later in 2012.
COMMERCIAL SERVICES
Our recently acquired MultiGEN laboratory operates as a molecular diagnostics company focused on DNA sequence based identification services having IP protected technologies. Using the well-documented 'Gold-Standard' accuracy of DNA sequencing, MultiGEN is able to provide 'Syndrome Driven Panels' in a single test that screens for all the pathogens or mutations that can cause a particular syndrome regardless of whether they are bacteria, viruses, fungi or parasites. MultiGEN does this with same-day reporting to better assist with the timely creation of an optimal treatment regime. MultiGEN's other two groups of applications include developing highly sensitive assays to detect mutations among samples carrying heterogeneous genomes and applications in drug development.
FORTHCOMING SERVICE ROLL-OUT PLANS
Transrenal molecular tests will make it easier to address important health problems worldwide and will lead to significant advancements in personalized medicine for improved patient care.
Our future service enhancement plans include:
‣Minimal residual disease in oncology
-K-RAS in pancreatic, colon cancer
-Expand to p53, EGFR, B-RAF
‣Portfolio of proprietary markers for hem/oncs
-NPM1
-B-RAF in HCL
-CLL

"We are looking forward to grow MultiGEN's existing, multiplexed-sequencing based diagnostic testing business for a variety of infectious diseases. We will explore the feasibility to configure existing MultiGEN tests on our trans-renal platform and we plan to leverage the CLIA laboratory operations as a development and commercial platform for novel tests intended to detect minimal residual disease in oncology, based on tumor-specific mutations detectable in a patient's urine."
Antonius Schuh, Ph.D.
Chief Executive Officer.

Trovagene intends to develop and expand its platform of transrenal molecular technology platform into a pipeline of potentially groundbreaking commercial medical testing and screening products that will be an integral part of this projected growth in personalized medicine.
The worldwide market for molecular testing was $3.7 billion in 2007 and is projected to increase to $6.2 billion by 2012. The market for personalized health and wellness is expected to grow to $452 billion by 2015. The core diagnostic and therapeutic segment of this market is projected to grow to $24 billion in that same time period.
Cancer management is where most of the progress in personalized medicine has occurred to-date. New products that facilitate personalized care are emerging in the areas of cardiology, CNS, autism, diabetes, and depression. Transrenal molecular diagnostics will provide relevant diagnostic information that will lead to improvements in personalized patient management.
