‣Licensing Opportunities
TrovaGene’s intellectual property portfolio includes patents and patent applications for the detection, screening and monitoring of transrenal DNA and RNA, including micro RNA, for use in human in-vitro diagnostics.
TrovaGene also owns rights to a leukemia-related biomarker, the nucleophosmin protein gene (NPM1) This marker has been shown to be linked to the prognoses of acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

Urine-based (transrenal) nucleic acid testing platform
TrovaGene is actively seeking collaboration partners who wish to leverage our novel platform. This includes pharmaceutical companies pursuing our platform to assist in clinical trial patient recruitment (cohort)to screen for patients based on mutation or expression status (i.e. companion diagnostic for their development-stage drug). These companies are also attracted to our platform to provide a very simple means to monitor patients for drug response, drug failure, adverse events (i.e. opportunistic infections). We are also actively pursuing alliances with IVD companies who wish to license our platform and develop and commercialize our urine-based test kits. Lastly, we are seeking collaborations with reference labs who wish to work with us to offer our tests as LDTs prior to regulatory clearance.
Nucleophosmin Protein Genes (NPM 1)
TrovaGene owns the rights to the use of the nucleophosmin protein gene for use in human in-vitro diagnostic testing, minimal residual disease (MRD) monitoring and to guide drug therapy. The company is actively offering sublicenses to molecular diagnostic reference laboratories who plan to develop laboratory developed tests (LDT) for the purposes of providing testing services to the clinical market. This marker can either be incorporated into stand alone tests or as part of AML profile assays. Tests for this marker can either be molecular or immuno (i.e. antibodies) and in the case of the latter, is suitable for flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry or immunofluorecence.
